Bridget Faulkner

"I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician with 7 years of dietetic experience, 5 of these specialising in eating disorders. I had worked at Flinders Medical Centre for 3 years within the Flinders paediatric Eating Disorder Service (FpEDS) as well as the State-wide Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) providing care to paediatric, adolescent and adult clients. I support those experiencing a range of conditions including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant Restrictive Disorder (ARFID) & disordered eating. I have a passion for supporting those experiencing an eating disorder to normalise their behaviours and relationship with food. Specifically, I am passionate about challenging the notion that a healthy body comes in one shape and size and therefore work to support individuals to achieve optimal physical and psychological health in whatever body that needs to be in. I hope to support individuals to enjoy all foods without fear, encourage patients to face their fears, cultivate self-compassion and accept a natural body weight and shape that supports long term recovery. I specifically enjoy working with young people to change their eating patterns early."
